Job summary

RECfinancial has partnered with a leading national organisation to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a 15-month contract. The role is based in Leicester with hybrid working and requires 2 years of accounting experience, along with part-qualification or ongoing ACA/ACCA/CIMA studies.

You will manage month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions and accruals/prepayments, delivering insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel proficiency and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Calculate accruals and prepayments.
• Provide key financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
