Job summary

Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established business in Telford. The role offers full training, mentoring and study support to progress toward a professional qualification.

You will work within a supportive finance team, gaining exposure to key accounting processes and reporting activities. The position involves assisting with management accounts, cashflow, VAT, and budgeting, with a pathway to CIMA/ACCA and ongoing development within a Hybrid

Qualifications

• Desire to build a long-term career in accounting with study support.
• Willingness to work towards a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Previous finance experience and good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts, posting prepayments and accruals.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and monthly depreciation.
• Support preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Complete daily cashflow reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile VAT and assist with audit/tax queries.
