RECfinancial has partnered with a leading national organisation in Leicester to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a 15-month contract. The role supports month-end processing and key financial deliverables from our Leicester office with hybrid working for finance professionals.

The successful candidate will prepare monthly management accounts, reconcile the balance sheet, process intercompany transactions, and calculate accruals and prepayments, delivering insights for strategic decisions.

RECfinancial has partnered with a leading and national organisation based in Leicester to appoint a talented Assistant Accountant on a 15–month contract.

Ideal for candidates based within the Leicester / Leicestershire / Nottingham / Derby / Warwickshire area.

Based at the Leicester office, the role offers flexible hybrid working for finance professionals. The organisation fosters a strong culture of continuous improvement and support for their employees.

The successful candidate will perform core month–end transactional services and manage key financial deliverables.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analysing monthly management accounts, performing balance sheet reconciliations, processing intercompany transactions, and calculating accruals and prepayments. Additionally, you will deliver key financial insights to support strategic business decision–making.

The client is seeking a proactive finance professional with 2 years of relevant accounting experience in a fast–paced environment.

The ideal candidate should be part–qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications, with strong Excel proficiency, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business.

The position offers a salary of GBP30,000 to GBP33,000, full study support, hybrid working, and a comprehensive benefits package, with the potential for transitioning into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
