Job summary

mydentist is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Corporate Finance Team at the Support Centre in Greater Manchester. This 6-month fixed-term, full-time position offers hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office and the chance to work across two teams.

You’ll handle subsidiary accounts, supporting schedules, and tax-related preparation, with opportunities to develop accounting skills and contribute to the practice’s financial administration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting, finance, or accounts assistant role.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Compilation of subsidiary statutory accounts, inputting prepared figures into accounting software, cross casting and checking accuracy, completeness and presentation of final documents.
• Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and working papers for statutory accounts.
• Printing, collation and Companies House filing of completed subsidiary accounts; help to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
• Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and analysis for corporation tax computations.
• Liaising with tax advisors and review of corporation tax and partnership returns; reconciling payments with financial records and leases.
