Job summary

mydentist is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Corporate Finance Team at the Support Centre in Greater Manchester. This 6-month, full-time fixed-term contract offers hybrid working with 2–3 days in the office.

The role involves preparing subsidiary accounts, assisting with tax computations, and supporting compliance across Companies House and HMRC. You will work with cross-functional teams and enjoy a benefits package including holidays, bonus scheme, and wellbeing services.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting/finance or accounts assistant role.
• Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile subsidiary statutory accounts and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and liaise with tax advisors.
• Support stock takes and capex reference processes.
• File Companies House documents and assist audit/compliance.

Help to ensure the smooth running of your surgery and the practiceAssist in the preparation of supporting schedules and analysis for corporation tax computationsLiaising with tax advisors and review of corporation tax and partnership returns Reconciliation and investigation of property related payments against financial records, lease database records and bank informationLiaising with councils and property team to investigate discrepancies and resolve queriesSupport teams with financial administration activities including recording and issuing of capex reference numbers and stock take submissionsAdministration and filing of compliance documentation for Companies House, HMRC and third-party advisors.Support team with completion and filing of ONS business surveysSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience in an accounting, finance, or accounts assistant role.Understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.Studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA desirable.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft ExcelEnjoy being part of a team that’s passionate about supporting our practices and ultimately heling the nation smile.Your future starts hereBuild a fulfilling career with us, where you'll find the opportunity to develop your skills and shape your work life with the support of a caring and inclusive team who support one another.Click to apply now!MYDSC
