Job summary

Cirka UK in Reading is seeking an Area Manager to oversee cleaning and facilities contracts across the south, in a hybrid role combining on-site client visits with planning and admin from home.

You will lead site supervisors and operations teams, coordinate schedules, monitor service quality, ensure health and safety, report on performance, manage budgets, and contribute to growth and retention of contracts in the region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in area or contract management within cleaning, facilities services, or a related industry, with strong operational oversight skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support diverse teams, including supervisors and frontline staff, with a focus on performance and engagement.
• Strong client relationship management skills, including stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and a commitment to service excellence.
• Good understanding of health and safety, environmental, and quality standards; experience working within certified or audited environments is advantageous.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage site supervisors and operational teams across multiple contracts and sites.
• Coordinate schedules and resources to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor service quality, address issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present performance reports, budgets, and compliance documentation.
• Support staff training and development and contribute to growth and retention of contracts in the region.
