Job summary

Cirka UK in Reading is seeking an Area Manager to oversee cleaning and facilities contracts across the south, in a hybrid role combining on-site client visits with planning and admin from home.

You will lead site supervisors and operations teams, coordinate schedules, monitor service quality, ensure health and safety, report on performance, manage budgets, and contribute to growth and retention of contracts in the region.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in area or contract management within cleaning, facilities services, or a related industry, with strong operational oversight skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and support diverse teams, including supervisors and frontline staff, with a focus on performance and engagement.
• Strong client relationship management skills, including stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and a commitment to service excellence.
• Good understanding of health and safety, environmental, and quality standards; experience working within certified or audited environments is advantageous.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Role Description

The Area Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based across the south, with a mix of on-site visits to client locations and some work from home for planning and administrative tasks. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple contracts and sites, ensuring high standards of cleaning and related services, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Day-to-day activities include managing site supervisors and operational teams, coordinating schedules and resources, monitoring service quality, and implementing health, safety, and environmental procedures. The Area Manager will conduct regular site inspections, address service issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. The role also involves reporting on performance, managing budgets, supporting staff training and development, and contributing to the growth and retention of contracts in the region.

Qualifications
