Job summary

Allied Bakeries, part of Associated British Foods, seeks an Accounts Receivable Advisor in Liverpool to manage timely collection and cash posting for multiple customers. This hybrid role combines office days with work-from-home flexibility, within a busy Grocery finance team.

The successful candidate will handle high-volume transactions, support period-end reporting, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit collection or Accounts Receivable roles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and ability to spot issues.
• Good computer literacy; experience with SAP and D365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chase outstanding debt via phone, email and letters through to full collection.
• Post and allocate payments accurately in the system.
• Handle high-volume debit notes daily with precision.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and customers.
• Follow AR best practices from credit applications to discount management.
• Escalate issues early to keep processes running smoothly.
• Provide account status updates to operational and finance leads.
• Assist Team Leader/Manager with period end reporting.
• Work across multiple ERPs and be multi-skilled within Grocery business.
• Attend meetings with Sales, Finance, CS and customers to discuss issues.
