Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage is seeking an experienced or early career AOCS/GNC engineer (Attitude and Orbital Control System / Guidance, Navigation and Control) to work on satellite projects within a UK team of 25. The role focuses on design, implementation, verification and collaboration with Rover teams.

You will develop software in C/Matlab/Python, contribute to reviews with ESA/MOD, and progress along paths to management or technical leadership.

Qualifications

• GNC/AOCS for Space Applications.
• Fascinated with learning more about GNC/AOCS.
• Proficient in Matlab, C, C++ or Python.

Responsibilities

• ACoCS/GNC design, implementation, verification and validation for mission Phases 0 to E.
• Produce design justifications and software requirements for AOCS/GNC algorithms.
• Develop software to prototype level (non/real time simulators in C/Matlab/Python).
• Support reviews and workshops with customer, partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Rover teams and ESA/MOD interfaces as needed.
