Holt Recruitment is assisting a space organisation in recruiting a GNC Systems Engineer to contribute to the design, development and verification of Guidance, Navigation and Control systems for complex satellite missions.

The role covers GNC requirements, architectures, verification strategies, integration of algorithms, computer vision and hardware, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure performance and system compatibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years' experience in a GNC-related engineering role.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience developing GNC subsystem architectures.
• Experience across GNC requirements derivation, control laws, navigation algorithms, and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop GNC subsystem requirements, architectures, and verification strategies.
• Support integration of GNC algorithms, computer vision, and hardware.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure GNC performance.
• Research emerging GNC technologies and hardware.
• Support algorithm development, hardware selection and system integration.
• Contribute to GNC software architecture and flight software.
• Perform subsystem-level trade-offs and analyses.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to capture requirements.
• Assist mission operations and on-orbit activities.
