Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited invites applications for AGGP2027, a Graduate Attitude and Orbital Control System/Guidance, Navigation and Control & Flight Dynamics Engineer role starting September 2027. This two-year development journey blends learning with hands-on design and analysis in space mission GNC and mission analysis for ESA projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Control/Automation/Space/Aeronautical Engineering).
• Recently graduated or early professional experience in AOCS/GNC or Flight Dynamics.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Desire to work in a collaborative, innovative aerospace environment.
• Experience with mathematical modelling, simulations, and software development is desirable.
• Space industry familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain extensive experience in design and analysis of space mission GNC and flight dynamics.
• Support ESA projects such as ExoMars Rover, ARIEL, AEOLUS-2, VIGIL.
• Perform AOCS/GNC design and analysis through the full engineering lifecycle with documentation.
• Develop prototype software in C/Matlab/Simulink for non-real time simulations.
• Learn about Earth observation satellites and interplanetary probes from an AOCS/GNC view.
• Experience at least one rotational placement during the programme.
