Fletchers Solicitors Ltd. is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join its growing AI team. You will build backend services, data pipelines, and frontend apps to prototype and productionise ML tools used across the firm.

The role blends remote work with monthly in-person collaboration in Manchester or Liverpool, with occasional travel to London. We value independence, strong Python and TypeScript/React skills, and the ability to ship reliable software in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python with backend/web app experience.
• Strong frontend experience with TypeScript and React.
• Comfort in fast-paced production environments.
• Ability to work independently with ownership and delivery focus.
• Strong communication and judgment.
• Based in the UK with ability to attend monthly in-person meetings (expenses paid).
• Based near London or Manchester; role can be primarily remote with team meetups.
• Fluent English.
• STEM degree from a top-tier university.
• Experience designing/deploying infrastructure (cloud, containers, CI/CD, networking, or databases).
• Experience scaling applications (100 -> 1000 users).
• Startup or greenfield experience building backend/data environments.
• Experience with Azure.
• Familiarity with ML concepts/workflows.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of backend services and frontend apps for ML-enabled products.
• Contribute to infra and architecture decisions by understanding business needs.
• Maintain and extend APIs and data pipelines for evolving product needs.
• Own frontend aspects to ensure excellent UX.
• Collaborate with product and data science teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Work with internal users to scope, prioritise, and resolve issues.
• Enable ML development via scalable data integrations from diverse sources (case systems, unstructured documents, SQL).
