Qualifications

• Strong degree in a STEM subject from a top‑tier university.
• Strong professional software development experience with leadership.
• Track record of owning production systems.
• Experience defining backend/frontend architecture, standards, and direction.
• Experience leading development or acting as a technical lead, including code reviews and mentoring.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with users and customers (pre‑sale, onboarding, integration).
• Capable of thriving in a fast‑paced environment with evolving requirements.
• Based near London or Manchester; role can be remote with regular in‑person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design and drive the build of AI apps (backend Python, frontend TypeScript/React).
• Lead on deployment, testing, and scaling of apps.
• Create scalable data integration pipelines from diverse sources.
• Own software architecture across core projects and guide infra decisions.
• Own infrastructure, site reliability, and disaster recovery for production systems.
• Collaborate with infra and security teams while setting our own AI standards.
