Job summary

Datatech Analytics in London is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy innovative AI solutions at scale within a newly established AI function. The role focuses on Generative AI, LLMs, and data capabilities across the full lifecycle from design to production.

You will work on world-class datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and shape the AI roadmap while balancing performance, security, and cost in a hybrid setup (3 days in the office).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in machine learning engineering or applied AI.
• Experience delivering Generative AI applications using LLMs.
• Strong Python programming skills for backend/cloud environments.
• Solid ML fundamentals and working with large datasets for model development.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation, MLOps/LLMOps workflows.
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into AI-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to responsible, transparent AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions from concept to production.
• Build AI-powered applications using LLMs and orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to translate challenges into AI solutions.
• Develop robust, secure AI systems with CI/CD, containers, monitoring, governance, and responsible AI principles.
• Monitor and optimise deployed models for performance, drift, and retraining needs.
• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure for AI workloads, balancing cost and security.
• Create reusable components, libraries, and templates; contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior engineers through reviews and collaborative learning.
