Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd is representing a well-established Chartered Accountants firm in Waterlooville seeking an Accounts Senior to join their growing team in Havant. The role involves managing complex accounts work, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with audit and tax colleagues.

Salary is around £40,000–£50,000 per annum, with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home) and ongoing professional development opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Senior role within an accountancy practice.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Up-to-date understanding of basic UK tax legislation and business tax compliance.
• Able to mentor junior staff and work with audit and tax teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, liaising regularly to obtain information and respond to queries.
• Prepare statutory financial statements for medium-sized companies, LLPs, and group structures.
• Prepare business tax computations, including adjustments for expenditure and loans to participators.
• Review the work of junior team members and contribute to accounts and consolidated statements.
• Work with the audit team to meet deadlines and ensure deliverables.
