The role offers varied responsibilities and significant client interaction with autonomy to manage a portfolio.

You will supervise delivery of accounts work, review statutory and group accounts, and support tax matters while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifikationen

• ACA/ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with experience in a Chartered Accountants firm.
• Experience in a mid-tier or reputable practice handling complex accounts and high-value clients.
• Strong technical ability including review of statutory accounts and consolidation for Director review.
• Good knowledge of corporation tax and VAT; client relationship management and advising on business needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-establishedand highly regarded independent practice in a role offering a varied generalpractice workload, significant client interaction and the opportunity to takeownershipof a portfolio of clients.

Working closely with the Directors, you will manage clientrelationships, oversee the delivery and review of accounts work, and providesupport on a range of complex accounting and tax matters. The role offers ahigh degree of autonomy, with the opportunity to contribute to the continuedsuccess of the firm and support the development of more junior team members.

The position can be tailored to suit the successfulcandidate’s experience and career aspirations, with a focus on delivering ahigh-quality service to a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manageyour portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact andreporting directly to the Directors.
• Reviewand oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, group accounts andconsolidations, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Buildand maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive advice andacting as the first point of contact for day-to-day queries.
• Attendand lead client meetings, discussing financial performance, accountingmatters and wider business needs.
• Supportclients with outsourced Finance Director-level services, offeringcommercial insight and guidance where required.
• Assistwith complex corporate and personal tax planning matters, workingcollaboratively with colleagues and the Directors.
• Ensureall work is completed accurately, efficiently and to a consistently highstandard, ready for final Director review.
• Supportand mentor junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and helping tomaintain high standards across the accounts team.

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with experience working in a similar rolewithin a firm of Chartered Accountants.
• Previousexperience within a mid-tier or similarly reputable accountancy practice,with exposure to complex accounts and higher-value clients.
• Strongtechnical ability, including the review of statutory accounts andconsolidation work, with the confidence to prepare assignments for finalDirector review.
• Goodworking knowledge of corporation tax and VAT.
• Confidentin managing client relationships and leading meetings independently.
• Acommercially minded approach, with the ability to understand clients’wider business needs and provide practical support.
• Salary:£53,000–£60,000, dependent on experience and background, with flexibilityfor the right candidate.
• Hybridworking (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
