Job summary

Verelogic Ltd is seeking a Senior Accountant in Waterlooville, Hampshire. The role is full-time, office-based with two days of home working, and offers a salary of £44,000–£50,000 per year.

You will manage a portfolio of clients, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior staff within a collaborative practice. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in practice, be fully qualified (AAT/ATT/ACCA/ACA or equivalent), and have strong skills in statutory accounts, tax returns, and UK taxation,

Qualifications

• Fully qualified with a recognised professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Experience working with Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
• Good working knowledge of UK taxation and proficiency in key software (Xero/QuickBooks/Dext/FreeAgent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit statutory accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Manage your own client portfolio and provide a high standard of service.
• Review work produced by junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and onboard new clients as needed.
• Provide business advisory support, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting and pricing advice.
• Maintain CPD and deliver training where appropriate.
