Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford, United Kingdom seeks an expert Transformer Electrical Design Manager to lead the electrical design team through end-to-end project lifecycles.

You will balance technical leadership with people management, ensure on-time delivery, quality and budget adherence, and engage with customers to resolve technical queries while guiding design reviews and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
• Experience with transformer engineering and electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead electrical design team and coordinate support on Transformer projects.
• Design & Engineering Management: Plan design activities, lead reviews, manage risk, and ensure approvals.
• Customer Interaction: Discuss and negotiate with customers for timely approvals and clear technical queries.
• Performance Accountability: Ensure on-time delivery of documentation, manage change processes, monitor KPI targets.
• Lifecycle Oversight: Support full lifecycle, including supplier queries, production, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning.
• Communication: Present issues clearly to stakeholders and guide the team with objectives and lessons learned.
