Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking Senior Development Project Managers to lead the EGL5 HVDC link programme, coordinating option studies, design progression and JV partner interfaces. This is a major UK project connecting Scotland and England to enable renewables transfer and a net-zero future.

You will oversee multi-workstream programmes, maintain milestones, implement governance, and lead health, safety and environmental leadership while spending 50% of your time in the office at locations across

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to develop, manage and report on major infrastructure projects.
• Degree-level qualification and professional membership; project management qualifications are desirable.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974; other HSE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Development Project Managers and drive EGL5 optioning and initial design phases.
• Communicate effectively across internal and external interfaces, including JV partners.
• Develop, manage and report project programmes to hit milestones and mitigate issues.
• Support use of project management systems and governance for large capital projects, ensuring CDM compliance.
