Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Strategic Development leader to shape HVACR growth by aligning market opportunities with enterprise strategy. You will work with Global Enterprise Strategy and Business Unit leadership to identify trends, define market entry, and lead strategic initiatives including M&A.

The role requires extensive experience in strategy consulting within complex organizations, ability to influence across levels, and a hands-on, proactive approach with strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business (or related).
• 7+ years of Strategic Development experience, including 2–3 years in a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
• Experience in complex, matrixed organizations, in a strategy consulting environment.
• Proven ability to deliver concrete outcomes in program or project settings with stakeholder influence beyond formal reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Market Intelligence: conduct market analysis on infrastructure trends, technology shifts, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic priorities.
• Support Portfolio and Product Strategy: define strategic roadmaps, prioritize investments, and align development with market needs.
• Support M&A and Partnership Roadmap: source and evaluate targets and partnerships through market research and strategic fit assessment.
• Strategic Planning and execution: develop long-term strategic plans with clear roadmaps, budgets, and resources.
• Program management and Stakeholder Engagement: establish a global PMO and communicate progress to Board and senior leadership.
• Mentorship: guide junior program managers and foster professional development.
