Job summary

Ashton Recruitment is recruiting for a leading facilities management and professional services organisation in Northern Ireland seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC, mechanical and building services equipment across a varied portfolio of sites. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure all work complies with safety and contractual requirements.

The role includes an on-call rota and progression within a permanent role with attractive

Qualifications

  • Time-served Air Conditioning or HVAC Technician
  • Minimum 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience
  • FGAS & ODS Regulations qualification
  • City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ or equivalent
  • Experience with Split AC, VRV, Fan Coil Units and Air Handling systems
  • Knowledge of BMS systems
  • Experience with boilers and pumping systems
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and electrical standards
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good organisational and report-writing skills
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call rota

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults across HVAC plant and equipment
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and asset registers
  • Servicing and repairing Split AC, VRV systems, Fan Coil Units and Air Handling systems
  • Maintaining boilers and pumping systems
  • Responding to maintenance requests and ensuring tasks are logged appropriately
  • Working with third-party contractors and ensuring site procedures are followed
  • Supporting small engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Completing service reports and required documentation
  • Maintaining professional relationships with clients and customers
  • Participating in an on-call rota, approximately one week in every 4-5 weeks
  • Following all Health & Safety and company procedures

Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Northern Ireland
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, diagnostics and fault finding across a varied portfolio of sites.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC, mechanical and building services equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with contractual and statutory requirements.

Duties will include:

Essential Criteria

The successful candidate will work across a portfolio of sites throughout Northern Ireland and will be required to participate in the on-call rota.
