Job summary

Mitie Ireland is seeking an experienced Mobile Multiskilled Technician through Ashton Recruitment. The role covers planned and reactive electrical maintenance across Northern Ireland, including working with BMS and supporting HVAC and building services.

The candidate should hold NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds, 18th Edition, and have strong fault-finding skills with excellent communication and customer service abilities. A permanent, full-time role with a branded vehicle and on-call rota awaits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• 18th Edition
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills (Word/Excel).
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across electrical systems and building services.
• Fault-finding and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, emergency lighting and electrical plant.
• Work with building management systems (BMS).
• Support mechanical maintenance including HVAC, pumps, valves and air handling units.
• Carry out basic plumbing and fabric maintenance.
• Complete work in accordance with BS 7671, Mitie standards and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.
• Provide excellent customer service across client sites.
• Participate in an on-call rota (approx. one week in 4–5 weeks).

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Northern Ireland
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Role

As an Mobile Multiskilled Technician, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across electrical systems and building services throughout Northern Ireland.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
• Fault-finding and repairing distribution boards, motors, pumps, emergency lighting and electrical plant
• Working with building management systems (BMS)
• Supporting mechanical maintenance including HVAC, pumps, valves and air handling units
• Carrying out basic plumbing and fabric maintenance
• Completing work in accordance with BS 7671, Mitie standards and statutory requirements
• Completing accurate maintenance records and service reports
• Providing excellent customer service across client sites
• Participating in an on-call rota approximately one week in every 4-5 weeks
• Working independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
• Following all Health & Safety and compliance procedures

Essential Criteria

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
• 18th Edition
• Previous electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good computer literacy, including Word and Excel
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within facilities management, commercial or industrial building services
• Experience using computerised PPM systems such as Maximo
