Job summary

Cbw Staffing Solutions in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to service commercial sites, carrying out PPMs, repairs and installations across a range of HVAC systems.

You'll work on ventilation, heating, air conditioning, and may participate in on-call rota. A full UK driving licence and recognised HVAC qualifications are essential, with career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• HVAC engineer with experience in planned and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• City & Guilds or equivalent HVAC qualifications.
• F-Gas certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance call-outs and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs and remedial works to HVAC equipment.
• Service, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
• Complete routine inspections and identify potential issues before major faults.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Complete service reports, job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure all work aligns with health and safety procedures.
• Work in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and clients.
• Provide a high standard of customer service at all times.
• Participate in an on-call rota when required.

HVAC Engineer - Edinburgh - Salary up to £47,000 DOE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team, working across a range of commercial and client sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong background in heating, ventilation and air conditioning to join a growing business and develop their career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and installation works across a variety of HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance call-outs and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs and remedial works to HVAC equipment.
• Service, maintain and repair air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems.
• Complete routine inspections and identify potential issues before they develop into major faults.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Complete service reports, job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health and safety procedures.

The successful candidate may have experience working with some or all of the following:

• Air conditioning systems
• VRV / VRF systems
• Split and multi-split systems
• AHUs and FCUs
• Ventilation systems
• Heating systems
• Pumps and associated mechanical equipment
• Chillers and cooling systems
• BMS controls
• Heat pumps

Person Specification

• Previous experience working as an HVAC Engineer, Air Conditioning Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical services.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to complete paperwork and service reports accurately.
• Flexible approach to working across different client sites
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning or a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
• City & Guilds or equivalent HVAC qualifications.
• F-Gas certification, where applicable.
