Job summary

COREcruitment is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the Slough to Reading corridor. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, ensuring safe and reliable store environments.

The position is field-based with daily travel between sites. A full UK driving licence is essential along with gas qualifications and F-Gas certification.

Qualifications

• Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications – minimum of 4 from the listed set.
• F-Gas (2079) certified.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel daily across the patch.
• Proven experience working on HVAC/gas systems in a multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM schedules and complete all associated paperwork to procedure.
• Respond promptly to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within agreed SLAs.
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including air handling units, heat pump systems, and boilers/pumps.
• Identify non-repairable plant faults and recommend replacements to the Line Manager.
• Work in line with Health, Safety and Environmental policies at all times.

About the Role
We're recruiting an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the Slough to Reading corridor. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable store environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM schedules and complete all associated paperwork to procedure
• Respond promptly to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within agreed SLAs
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including:
  • Air handling units (gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils)
  • Heat pump systems and single split air conditioning
  • LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers
• Identify non-repairable plant faults and recommend replacements to the Line Manager
• Work in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications - minimum of 4 from: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F-Gas (2079) certified
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel daily across the patch
• Proven experience working on HVAC/gas systems in a multi-site environment

Desirable

• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
