Job summary

COREcruitment is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the M65 corridor and Chorley area. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, with daily travel between locations.

The position is permanent and full-time (42.5 hrs/week), with a £46,994 annual salary and a £2,000 joining bonus. A full UK driving licence is essential to cover the patch.

Qualifications

• Commercial gas qualifications required (min 4 from the listed options).
• F-Gas (2079) certification is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel daily across the patch.
• Proven experience working on HVAC/gas systems in a multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM schedules and complete all paperwork to procedure.
• Respond promptly to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within SLAs.
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including AHUs, gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, boilers, pumps and chillers.
• Identify non-repairable plant faults and recommend replacements to the Line Manager.
• Work in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times.

Permanent | Full-Time (42.5 hrs/week, 8am-5pm) | £46,994 p.a. + £2k Joining Bonus

About the Role

We're recruiting an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the M65 corridor and Chorley area. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable store environments.

This is a field-based role with daily travel between sites. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM schedules and complete all associated paperwork to procedure
• Respond promptly to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within agreed SLAs
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including: Air handling units (gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils), Heat pump systems and single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers
• Identify non-repairable plant faults and recommend replacements to the Line Manager
• Work in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications - minimum of 4 from: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F-Gas (2079) certified
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel daily across the patch
• Proven experience working on HVAC/gas systems in a multi-site environment

• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
