Job summary

COREcruitment are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the Oxford to Coventry corridor. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable store environments.

This field-based position requires daily travel between sites, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive approach to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience in multi-site environments.
• Gas systems knowledge and safety compliance.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
• Industry gas qualifications and certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM schedules and complete paperwork to procedure.
• Respond to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and repair within SLAs.
• Service and maintain HVAC assets: AHUs, gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, chillers, boilers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and recommend replacements to Line Manager.
• Work in line with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

42.5 Hours Per Week& Pattern 8am-5pm

Salary:

£46,994.00 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment), Overtime, Travel Time, 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits - Including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Employee Discounts

About the Role

We're recruiting an experienced HVAC Technician to support a major national retail client across the Oxford to Coventry corridor. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and gas-fired systems across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable store environments.

This is a field-based role with daily travel between sites. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM schedules and complete all associated paperwork to procedure
• Respond promptly to helpdesk call-outs, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within agreed SLAs
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including:
  • Air handling units (gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils)
  • Heat pump systems and single split air conditioning
  • LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers
• Identify non-repairable plant faults and recommend replacements to the Line Manager
• Work in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications - minimum of 4 from: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F-Gas (2079) certified
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel daily across the patch
• Proven experience working on HVAC/gas systems in a multi-site environment

Desirable

• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
