Job summary

Mitie is seeking a time-served HVAC technician to join our Belfast team. The role focuses on safe maintenance and repair of facility plant and equipment across multiple sites.

You will diagnose faults, manage asset records, and work with the helpdesk and subcontractors to minimise downtime. The ideal candidate holds F-Gas certifications (City & Guilds Level 2 or FETAC Level 5), has knowledge of BMS systems, and is proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Air conditioning/HVAC tradesperson
• 5 years post-apprenticeship experience as an HVAC technician
• F-Gas regulation certifications (City & Guilds Level 2 or FETAC Level 5)
• Knowledge of BMS systems
• Experience maintaining and repairing Split AC, VRV, Fan Coil, AHU systems, boilers and pumping systems
• Knowledge of electrical standards and health and safety best practices
• Strong problem solving and fault-finding abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Organised, methodical, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Experience with Maximo and MS Office (Excel/Word) is desirable
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to site needs

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain and repair facility plant and equipment
• Identify reactive and remedial maintenance needs and log tasks with the helpdesk
• Take ownership of issues and understand systems and plant
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on plant and equipment
• Keep asset registers up to date and submit change requests for new assets
• Contribute to continuous improvement and project work
• Ensure compliance with PPM and Reactive SLA requirements
• Coordinate with line management and 3rd party contractors
• Adhere to HSQE standards and company procedures
• Attend training, appraisals, and operate safely at all times
