Job summary

Mitie Ireland is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across electrical systems and building services in Northern Ireland. The role includes fault-finding, diagnosis, and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, and BMS, with involvement in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• 18th edition compliance.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent fault-finding ability and problem solving.
• Organised and methodical with ability to multi-task.
• High attention to detail, compliance and service report writing.
• Team player; able to work on own initiative with clients.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota (1 in 4/5 weeks).
• Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS is desirable.
• Familiar with Word and Excel for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services.
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing, and basic fabric works.
• Be included in the on-call rota.
• Maintain strong electrical faultfinding and maintenance experience in facilities management or commercial/industrial building services environments.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with BS 7671, Mitie standards, and statutory requirements, with proper documentation.
