Job summary

WR HVAC is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to drive the commercial performance of HVAC and M&E projects. Based in Manchester, the role covers contract administration, valuations, variations and final accounts to support a varied portfolio of HVAC and mechanical works.

You will liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors, manage budgets and provide forecasts, with clear progression into senior commercial roles within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, HVAC or M&E.
• Strong understanding of contract administration.
• Knowledge of common forms of contract such as JCT / NEC
• Good experience with valuations, variations and final accounts
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Confident dealing with clients and subcontractors
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of HVAC and mechanical projects
• Administer contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment
• Manage variations, change control and commercial notices
• Review subcontractor applications and accounts
• Support procurement and subcontractor appointments
• Monitor budgets, cost plans and project margins
• Produce forecasts and commercial reports
• Track contractual correspondence and key dates
• Support claims, extensions of time and loss & expense where required
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and Project Managers
• Manage final accounts and project close-out
