Job summary

The M&E Contractor in Manchester is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on managing commercial and contractual aspects of major M&E projects in the Manchester region.

Key requirements include proven experience with M&E contracting, managing £5m+ projects, and strong negotiation and analytical abilities. Salary is £65,000–£95,000 plus package for a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience working for an M&E contractor is essential.
• Experience managing M&E projects valued at £5m+ is required.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of M&E projects from start to completion.
• Manage project costs, valuations, variations, applications and final accounts.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports and forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and procurement.
• Identify and maximise commercial opportunities while managing financial risk.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and site teams.
• Manage contractual notices and change control.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budgets and targets.
