Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a Manchester-based role focused on contract administration and commercial control across HVAC and mechanical projects. You will manage budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has solid experience in construction contracts (JCT/NEC), strong commercial acumen, and excellent organisation skills to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, HVAC or M&E.
• Strong understanding of contract administration.
• Knowledge of JCT / NEC forms of contract.
• Good experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Confident dealing with clients and subcontractors.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

We're recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a growing specialist HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Manchester.

This role will focus heavily on contract administration and commercial control, supporting projects from award through to final account.

The Role

• Manage the commercial performance of HVAC and mechanical projects
• Administer contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment

You'll have real ownership of contract administration, variations, notices, valuations and final accounts, with long-term progression into Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
