Job summary

Linaker is seeking a HVAC / Gas multiskilled Engineer to join our national engineering team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial and retail sites. You will ensure HVAC / Gas systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and client requirements.

You will perform PPM per SFG20, service boilers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps and controls, and diagnose faults with a focus on first-time fix. On-call duties and CAFM documentation complete the role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration / HVAC (or equivalent).
• F-Gas Category 1 must hold, plus core gas safety qualifications.
• Experience with fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Industry regulations and safety compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20 and contract specs.
• Service HVAC and gas plant: boilers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, fans and controls.
• Diagnose faults in HVAC and gas systems; complete repairs to SLA; first-time fix emphasis.
• Ensure gas works meet Gas Safe regs; ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations.
• Prepare accurate quotations for remedial works with clear scope and labor estimates.
• Communicate with clients and helpdesk; maintain logs and CAFM documentation.
• Manage van stock, tools, and calibration devices; participate in on-call rota.
