Job summary

ABM is seeking an engineer to repair plumbing and mechanical fixtures across contracts, with full commissioning and servicing of HVAC equipment. The role requires multi-skilled capability, including mechanical and electrical trades, and working to SFG20 standards.

Responsibilities include workload management, quotations for remedial jobs over £500, and ensuring paperwork is completed for invoicing. NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and L8 qualifications are desirable; IPAF/PASMA may be required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical general competence required.
• Gas equipment repairs and servicing under safety regulations.
• NVQ levels related to plumbing/mechanical work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair plumbing and mechanical fixtures to current regs and standards.
• Carry out mechanical/electrical tasks and light installation on gas equipment.
• Complete weekly timesheets and submit expenses with receipts.
• Produce technical reports and defect/reject reports for failed components or plant.
• Maintain health and safety on site and follow risk assessments.
