Job summary

VGC Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Fitter Supervisor for a Birmingham project. The role is a contract opportunity with up to two years of work and a PAYE hourly rate of £28.38. Qualifications

• CSCS and health & safety accreditations are required for site access.
• IPAF 3A/3B and F-Gas Category 1 are essential for HVAC installation.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Heating & Ventilation demonstrates technical competence.
• First Aid at Work, Working at Height and Manual Handling are mandatory safety competencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of HVAC fitters to complete works safely and on programme.
• Oversee installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Read HVAC drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor workforce performance on site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with site management, engineers and subcontractors to maintain progress.
• Maintain records of works, inspections and progress updates.

HVAC Fitter Supervisor – Birmingham – £28.38 PER HOUR PAYE

VGC Group are looking for an experienced HVAC Fitter Supervisor to start on a project in Birmingham. This contract is available to start as soon as possible, and we can offer up to 2 years' worth of work to a successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Following all health, safety and environmental procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE at all times.
• Leading and supervising a team of HVAC fitters to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Overseeing the installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Allocating daily work activities and monitoring workforce performance.
• Conducting toolbox talks and ensuring workforce compliance with site procedures and safety standards.
• Reading and interpreting HVAC drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensuring all HVAC installations are completed in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Managing installation quality and resolving any technical issues that arise on site.
• Coordinating with site management, engineers, subcontractors and other trades to maintain project progress.
• Monitoring material usage and assisting with labour and resource planning.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.
• Ensuring work at height activities are undertaken safely and in compliance with site procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works, inspections and progress updates.
• Identifying potential hazards and implementing effective control measures.
• Mentoring and supporting team members to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Reporting incidents, near misses and safety concerns in accordance with company procedures.

Based in Birmingham, remuneration for this role is £28.38 per hour PAYE. You will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
