Job summary

Tech-People are seeking an HVAC Engineer in Beeston for a 2-month assignment starting on 07/09/2026. The role runs 40 hours per week, 7:30am–4:30pm, in Beeston (NG90). The contract pays £28.17 per hour (Umbrella PAYE) or £21.64 per hour (PAYE).

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, fault finding, VRV/VRF servicing, and BMS monitoring. Responsibilities include safety-compliant handling of refrigerants, documenting maintenance, and supporting the team with mechanical and electrical

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC maintenance experience is required.
• F-Gas qualification is required.
• VRV/VRF air conditioning experience is preferred.
• Good fault-finding skills are essential.
• Multi-skilled mechanical/electrical background is desired.
• PPM and reactive maintenance experience is expected.
• Relevant apprenticeship/City & Guilds qualification is required.
• IPAF/PASMA and BMS experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant and equipment.
• Fault finding and repairs across HVAC systems and components.
• Maintain VRV/VRF air conditioning systems.
• Handle refrigerants safely in line with F-Gas requirements.
• Monitor plant performance and seek efficiency improvements.
• Use BMS systems to monitor environmental conditions.
• Complete maintenance records and CAFM documentation.
• Identify equipment risks and manage critical spares.
• Follow risk assessments, method statements and permits.
• Liaise with on-site supervisor, account manager and client.
• Support wider maintenance team with mechanical and electrical expertise.
• Supervise subcontractors when required.
• Support site Health & Safety requirements.

Duties will include:
