Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Mobile HVAC Engineer to support a blue-chip retail client across five sites in the Birmingham area. The role combines planned and reactive maintenance with fault finding and repairs, ensuring all sites stay operational and compliant.

You will manage your own workload across sites, build strong client relationships and work safely to high standards. Starting April, with two-stage interviews and a strong salary package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' relevant HVAC experience.
• Commercial Gas qualifications – essential.
• Refrigeration qualification – essential.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across multiple sites.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs of heating, gas and refrigeration systems.
• Managing workload across five Birmingham sites.
• Building strong relationships with the client and ensuring safety standards.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Mobile HVAC Engineer to join a leading main contractor, supporting a blue-chip retail client across five sites in the Birmingham area.

This is a varied, client-facing role offering plenty of autonomy. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive HVAC maintenance, fault finding and repairs, ensuring each site remains fully operational and compliant.

What's on offer?

• £40,000 – £45,000 DOE

• Core hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• No call-out rota

The Role

• Planned and reactive HVAC maintenance
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Maintaining commercial heating, gas and refrigeration systems
• Managing your own workload across multiple sites
• Building strong relationships with the client
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' relevant HVAC experience
• Commercial Gas qualifications – essential
• Refrigeration qualification – essential
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
• Confident working independently
• Good communication and client-facing skills
• Retail experience preferred but not essential

Process

There is a two-stage interview process, with an April start planned.
