Job Title: Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Newport

Salary: £46,000

I am currently working on behalf of a large FM and maintenance company, seeking an experienced and qualified commercial gas engineer. This will be a semi-mobile role covering Newport, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Evesham, and Hereford. The ideal candidate has experience working within commercial environments, carrying out all areas of commercial gas maintenance and minor remedial tasks.

• Monday to Friday, 8-5
• Call outs (1/4)

The Gas Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to commercial/industrial boilers, as well as completing inspection and gas safety check certificates.

Main duties will include:

• Carrying out PPM in accordance with schedules, frequencies, and industry standards.
• Identifying defects, providing parts lists, and estimating completion times.
• Transporting and handling boilers following current Health & Safety Regulations.
• Maintaining good relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Performing installation, repairs, maintenance, and operational planning, working with various systems and reporting as needed.
• Working with appliances such as small-scale plant rooms, centralized heating boilers, and gas heaters.
• Visiting customer premises to fit, service, and repair boilers and heating systems.
• Assessing, dismantling, repairing, or replacing relevant parts.
• Supporting the field service team and maintaining operational processes.
