CIBSE Journal is seeking an HVAC Engineer in the Midlands (Birmingham/Coventry) to service, maintain, fault-find and repair HVAC equipment for a diverse client base. The role offers a basic salary of 40,000–45,000 DOE, with a company van and pension benefits.

Responsibilities include on-site service, maintenance and urgent repairs, with travel paid after 30 minutes each way. Commutable distance to Birmingham/Coventry is required.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in air conditioning useful but not mandatory.
• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent.
• 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas) required.
• Full Driving Licence required.
• Experience with service, maintenance, fault finding and repair.

• Collaborate with clients for installation, service and plan maintenance.

HVAC Engineer – Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary 40,000 – 45,000 DOE
• Company Van – Optional Personal Use of the vehicle
• Profit share scheme applicable after 12 months' service – Up to 3,600 tax free
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• 40 hour working week, travel paid after 30 mins each way
• On call allowance (1 in 4/5, 1,200 guaranteed – if called out Travel Paid door to door)
