Job summary

Thrive SW is seeking an HVAC Engineer to cover Birmingham and surrounding areas, delivering maintenance across commercial properties, including plant rooms and communal areas. This mobile role involves planned and reactive work, with a focus on HVAC systems and related plumbing tasks.

Essential qualifications include mechanical or electrical certification and experience in plant room maintenance. The role offers a company van and an attractive holiday entitlement as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Essential: qualification in Mechanical (HVAC, Gas, Plumbing) or Electrical (Level 2+)
• Previous experience in commercial building or plant room maintenance
• Diverse mechanical/electrical maintenance capabilities

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant
• Fault finding and basic repairs to heating, ventilation and AC systems
• Water temperature checks and legionella testing
• Working on pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs
• General plumbing (e.g. TMVs, flushing, like-for-like replacements)

Are you a skilled HVAC Engineer with a background in planned and reactive maintenance? Would you be happy carrying out small remedial works and minor installations?

We re working with a growing facilities management company that services both commercial and domestic properties across the Midlands. Due to several new contract wins, they want to expand their team with an experienced HVAC Engineer.

As a mobile HVAC Engineer, you'll be covering Birmingham and surrounding areas (including Coventry and Leicester), delivering maintenance across commercial properties, including plant rooms and communal areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant
• Fault finding and basic repairs to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Water temperature checks and legionella testing
• Working on pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs
• General plumbing (e.g. TMVs, flushing, like–for–like replacements)
