Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Multi–Skilled HVAC Engineer to join a commercial maintenance team. You will ensure HVAC systems and related building services operate efficiently, safely and to client expectations in a client-facing role.

The role requires a strong technical background, with 5 years' HVAC maintenance experience, Level 2/3 HVAC qualification, driving licence, and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• HVAC Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC maintenance/installation.
• Basic electrical experience essential; electrical qualifications desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance and fault finding on control circuits and HVAC components.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and RAMS.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and subcontractors.

Multi–Skilled HVAC Engineer

Location: Bristol

Salary: GBP42,000 GBP43,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm + On–Call (1 week in 2)

Role Overview We are currently recruiting for a Multi–Skilled HVAC Engineer to join a commercial maintenance team based in Bristol.

You will play a key role within the site maintenance team, ensuring HVAC systems and associated building services operate efficiently, safely and in line with client expectations. This is a client–facing position requiring a high standard of professionalism, technical ability and customer service.

Working Pattern & On–Call

• Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm
• On–call rota: 1 week in 2
• Standby allowance: GBP125 per week
• Call–out payment: Minimum of 4 hours paid at overtime rate per attendance
• Company van provided

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on air conditioning systems, pipework and associated equipment.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, including fault finding on control circuits and HVAC electrical components.
• Carry out minor electrical works, including replacing contactors, relays, sensors and motors.
• Complete all works in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete risk assessments and point–of–work risk assessments prior to carrying out tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
• Support HVAC installation, upgrades and refurbishment projects where required.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor works and ensure compliance with RAMS and site standards.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of consumables and arrange replenishment where required.
• Respond promptly to emergency call–outs and maintain clear communication with the client.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and report these to the Technical Lead.

Skills & Experience Required

• HVAC Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or equivalent.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC maintenance and installation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, fault finding and industry standards.
• Basic electrical experience is essential; formal electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience working within commercial environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem–solving and communication skills.
• Basic IT skills for completing PPM and reactive maintenance reports via tablet.
• IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
