Job summary

Ormandy Rycroft Engineering invites an Electrical Engineer to join a UK-based team with over 125 years in HVAC. The role is permanent, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, and offers flexible working including up to 2 days home working.

You will identify customer requirements, design systems, read drawings, create plans, estimate costs, and manage projects while ensuring safety regulations are met. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with design and calculation software.
• Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
• Knowledge of heating and ventilation.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements.
• Design systems and products.
• Read design specs and technical drawings.
• Create project plans and circuit diagrams using CAE and design software.
• Estimate costs and project timings.
• Manage projects and deliver them on time.
• Ensure projects meet safety regulations.
• Attend meetings, write reports and give presentations.
• Provide technical assistance.
• Solve problems and analyse issues.
• Assess tools and information needed to develop solutions.
• Assist with spare parts selection.
