Job summary

SkyBlue Solutions is recruiting a Substation Supervisor for a Lochgilphead project. The role involves supervising HV substation installation and coordinating site teams on a 60-day contract from 02/11/2026 to 31/12/2026. Competitive rate of £36.00 per hour PAYE, with Monday–Friday 07:30–18:00 working hours.

Responsibilities include safety-first supervision, coordinating subcontractors, delivering toolbox talks, and liaising with management and client representatives to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• HV substation projects experience (11kV-400kV) required.
• SSSTS certification required.
• EUSR Utility SHEA Power certification required.
• Fire Marshal Certificate required.
• Strong health and safety knowledge in power sector.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating HV substation installation and construction activities.
• Managing site operatives and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Delivering site briefings and toolbox talks.
• Monitoring site progress and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Liaising with project management, engineers and client representatives.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of daily site activities.
• Ensuring work is delivered in line with project specifications and programme requirements.
