Job summary

ISS Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a strong HV background to oversee works on a BES site in Coldstream, Scotland. You will supervise electrical teams on SPEN-controlled projects and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards on HV systems up to 400kV.

This CIS-paid contract role offers long-term project opportunity with immediate start. You will coordinate with Site Manager, manage RAMS and permits, and drive a culture of safety on site.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising electrical teams on SPEN sites.
• Strong High Voltage experience up to 400kV.
• CSCS/ECS card holder with active qualification.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• AP/SAP experience considered advantageous.
• Temporary Works knowledge helpful.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor with strong HV background to oversee works on a BES (Battery Energy Storage) site in Coldstream, Scotland. The successful candidate will have proven experience supervising electrical teams on SPEN-controlled projects, with exposure to high voltage systems up to 400kV.

This is a CIS-paid contract role working on critical infrastructure within the utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise electrical installation and maintenance works on HV substations
Ensure compliance with site safety rules and SPEN procedures
Oversee operatives and subcontractors on site
Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks
Monitor quality of work and ensure adherence to project specifications
Coordinate with the Site Manager and project stakeholders
Maintain site documentation including RAMS, permits, and progress reports
Promote a strong health & safety culture at all times

City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
Proven experience working on SPEN sites
Strong High Voltage experience, ideally up to 400kV
Valid CSCS/ECS card
SSSTS or SMSTS
First Aid at Work
Strong leadership and communication skills

Previous substation new build or upgrade experience
Authorised Person (AP) / Senior Authorised Person (SAP) experience
Temporary Works knowledge
Full UK driving licence
