Job summary

Omexom Engineering in Doncaster is seeking a Project Engineer to drive delivery of HV/substation related projects. You will work with design engineers, manage site interfaces, and support tendering and planning activities.

The role requires strong commercial awareness, experience in electrical infrastructure, and good IT skills. Occasional travel across the UK and Ireland is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams and addressing performance.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to monitor targets.
• Sound knowledge of electrical infrastructure, safety legislation and CDM Regulations 2013 (ROI).
• Proficient with computers and MS Office products.
• Excellent customer focus and willingness to uphold company values.
• Experience with contractual terms and conditions in projects.
• Understanding of power networks and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work with design engineers to deliver HV substation projects safely and efficiently.
• Represent Omexom with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
• Coordinate design activities, resources, materials and equipment.
• Act as a point of contact for design engineers and clients to ensure productive delivery.
• Assist with programme development and resource planning.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to tendering process.
• Support site interfaces and cost/income management to meet commercial targets.
• Provide technical support to improve delivery processes.
• Engage with client personnel to ensure cooperation on projects.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors and consultants as required.
• Travel as needed to support business requirements.
• Develop engineering reports for the team.
