Job summary

A project coordinator role in Heanor, Derbyshire, focuses on managing HV electrical installations from planning through to successful completion, with a predominantly office-based setup and occasional site visits.

You will coordinate HV switchgear, transformers and associated equipment, plan labour, materials and equipment, and liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to keep projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating electrical, engineering or installation projects.
• Good understanding of electrical installations, ideally HV equipment, switchgear or transformers.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and project specifications.
• Strong planning and organisation skills.
• Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and site teams.
• Experience managing project changes or variations.
• Independent work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project documentation.
• Full UK driving licence for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings.
• Plan and coordinate labour, materials and equipment.
• Coordinate installation of HV switchgear, transformers and associated equipment.
• Organise site logistics and installation sequencing.
• Liaise with customers, engineers, site teams and departments.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and wider supply chain.
• Monitor progress and keep plans on programme.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Manage changes to project scope and variations.
• Identify risks and resolve delays or technical issues.
