Job summary

Project Coordinator - HV Electrical Installations

Location: Heanor, Derbyshire

Salary: £35,000-£40,000, depending on experience

Working pattern: Permanent, full-time - approximately 90% office based

An established electrical engineering company specialising in HV installations is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join its team in Heanor.

This is a predominantly office-based position where you will take ownership of electrical installation projects involving switchgear, transformers and associated equipment. You will coordinate each project from initial planning through to safe and successful completion, with occasional site visits when required.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings.
• Plan and coordinate labour, materials, equipment and project requirements.
• Coordinate the installation of HV switchgear, transformers and associated electrical equipment.
• Organise site logistics, including the lifting, positioning and installation of equipment.
• Liaise with customers, engineers, site teams and internal departments.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work remains on programme.
• Maintain accurate project plans, records and documentation.
• Manage changes and variations to the original project scope.
• Identify potential risks, delays and technical issues, resolving them efficiently.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, professionally and in accordance with customer requirements.

Candidate requirements

• Previous experience coordinating electrical, engineering or installation projects.
