HV Electrical Safety & Compliance Coordinator

Job summary

CMDP+ is seeking an HV Co-ordinator to safely deliver water and wastewater programmes. You will oversee electrical safety during construction and commissioning, ensuring compliance with BS7671, PUWER, EAWR 1989 and CMDP policies.

Reporting to the Designated Individuals, you will act as the regional H&S focal point for electrical safety, manage LV/HV safety rules, supervise M&E subcontractors, and contribute to risk assessments and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• 10 years on-site experience in Electrical Installation
• Minimum 2 years as Authorising Engineer or AP
• HND/HNC/C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• IET Wiring Regulation - 18th Edition certified
• Knowledge of PUWER, COSHH; EAWR 1989

Responsibilities

• Administer electrical safety rules and update with changes
• Monitor LV Electrical Safety Rules and amendments
• Provide Technical & Quality support for Project, M&E, Site Managers
• Manage M&E subcontractors for safety, quality and design
• Act as central figure supporting CMDP’s H&S team on electrical safety
• Ensure appropriate Permit issuers and identify specialist activities
• Engage with Safe Systems of Work like Hydraulics, ATEX/DSEAR
• Attend Parent Company AE review panels
• Collaborate with SHEQ on incident investigations and lessons learned
• Deliver technical bulletins, toolbox talks and align procedures with guidance
• Identify competencies and training needs for key project players
• Assist in interviewing, training, and appointing Authorised Persons
