Job summary

BakerHicks is recruiting an HV Cables Design Engineer in the UK. You will lead design, calculations and drawings for HV/EHV cable systems, ensuring quality and working with CAD technicians to produce deliverables.

The role requires strong maths, power engineering background, and good communication with internal and external stakeholders. Hybrid working and security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience producing and checking designs, calculations, reports and drawings for HV/EHV projects (11kV–400kV).
• Ability to communicate technical matters to stakeholders at various levels.
• Background in power engineering with strong maths/science foundation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and consistency of outputs; produce drawing packages with CAD technicians.
• Coordinate with HV cable engineers and other disciplines to deliver project deliverables.
• Support bid process to help secure further work.
