BakerHicks in the United Kingdom seeks an HV Cables Design Engineer to ensure the quality and consistency of drawings and technical documents for HV/EHV projects ranging from 11kV to 400kV. You will assist during bids to secure further work and coordinate with CAD technicians and engineers across disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics and science, preferably Power Engineering, and be progressing towards CEng status.

The HV Cables Design Engineer will be reporting to the Principal or Associate Engineer – HV and will be responsible ensuring the quality and consistency of the team’s output in the production and control of drawings and technical documents. You will assist during the bid process in order to secure further work.
Many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance or security assurance levels.
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements.
