Job summary

Baker Hicks Limited is searching for a Principal / Associate HVDC Cable Design Engineer in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering HVDC projects and developing our HVDC capabilities while ensuring quality and consistency in technical documents.

The ideal candidate has a BEng/BSc in Electrical or Power Engineering and possesses strong HVDC design experience. You will lead projects that include detailed cable routing and converter station layouts while working within a diverse, dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, calculations, and reports associated with HVDC schemes.
• Ability to oversee production and check designs effectively.
• Competency in creating high-quality drawings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HVDC design requirements and model systems.
• Conduct cable routing studies and prepare feasibility studies.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians.
